Last Resort Empty Last Resort

Anyone watch this? I really liked the premiere! It helped that I was really reminded of BSG with all the navy jargon....."Battle stations!!"....I was like OMG CYLONS??? No just missiles, but still. I liked it.....connected with the characters, and enjoyed the plot. I think that is my problem with Revolution....not really connecting with any characters yet.

Didn't watch the premier, but I can see if it's On Demand. Smile

With Pirate Bay, everything's always On Demand. I mean...that guy's eating a hamburger!

I seriously need to get back into the whole "television schedule" thing. After almost three years cable-free, I forget I can't just decide when I want to watch stuff. And I don't have DVR, so...yeah. When is that on?

Is it bad that anytime I hear Scott Speedman's name, I think of the lead singer of Creed?

Well, I'm definitely interested. I think the character dynamics are pretty fun and I'm always up for a crisis-packed situation. It has bit of first-episode character awkwardness but I can't hold that against any show. I thought the same thing about BSG a couple times during the miniseries, so we'll see where this goes.

Thanks for the recommendation! Smile

Yep. This show is actually pretty damn good. Good character dynamics, great tension - enough story lines to keep me interested but not too many to seem excessive.

Nothing more to say yet, other than it's rather entertaining.

I'm so behind the times. Just barely catching up on Walking Dead, Season 2. I'll comment on this thread in a year or two when they hit Netflix LOL

Peter - True Blood is the train wreck I can't seem to stop watching. I've read the novels and feel vaguely obligated. Then it goes through severe moments of awful with brief moments of awesome... I just can't look away.

I'm pretty torn on Boardwalk Empire this year. There is literally no good guy to root for. And I want someone to root for.

Kiersten - I think the reason Last Resort is working so well is because there is a natural progression of events, escalation, tension, danger, etc. Nothing feels forced, despite the exaggerated premise of a pseudo civil war.
